Our chickens have a few favourite spots for dust baths, and it's all well and good until they go for a dustbath on a rainy day. Which sounds impossible, but two of their favourite hangouts are under shelter. So they get all wet in the rain, then go for a dust bath. Rain + dust bath = very dirty chicken.

Mine root around under the coop. So much so that one side kind of fell in and I had to move it.
I asked the hens for help. They weren't into it.

Yes, I love to watch them take dust baths. Almost makes me want to join them. They always look so content when they bask in the hole they just made.
