First baby hatched on the farm!!!!

Say hello to a noisy and very energetic new gosling. Little guy isn't even dry yet, and has been careening around the incubator and squealing for a good 45 minutes. Thought they were supposed to take a post hatch nap!?

Good Job, lady!

(I didn't know they take naps after hatching, but makes sense to me.)

He's such a cutie. And how exciting it must be to witness new birth on your farm.

Well Congratulations Rae!! A successful hatch. How is the little guy doing?

Not if hes's hungry, I guess. How would he get fed? Does he walk around getting his own breakfast or does the mother goose regurgitate grass for him for awhile?

But then, I think chicks are supposed to be able to live off egg-based reserves for a day or so. What I don't know about raising farm animals fills books though.

Congratulations!
