Eat up little meaties

Grow nice and big...

The feed store had shorted our order of 20 by 3. I found some cornish chicks of approx the same age at a different store yesterday. LJ had me pick up 8 more. So, 25 meaties this year. Yum yum!

Rae,
As you know, I just got my first Chicks two weeks ago and they are doing fine. This is the start of my Laying flock and I hope to be able to add 6 "Easter Egger's" the 16TH of this month.
I want to try Meat birds at some point and see if I can make it work for me as well.
You will have to do a post on the processing, with lots of pictures. As I have never processed a chicken before, I will need lots of instructions!

Tom, meat birds (at least the Cornish X) are gross, but sooo very tasty. We got so busy last year that I never got around to doing a butcher post. I'll see if I can get it posted this year. They're really not that difficult to process at home. I've been following your posts about the new flock and am so excited for you!
