An Easter parade, and white runner has a name

The future laying ducks had a lovely time trooping around in the sunshine yesterday. Unlike chickens, who run around helter skelter, these guys paraded around in tight formation. Lots of fun to watch. The runner ducks are too funny. They remind me of skinny people running around with their hands clasped behind their backs. As the chocolate runner is named Darkwing Duck, we've decided to name the white/gray runner Launchpad McQuack. Loving it. Still don't know the sex of either, but I think the names will stick, regardless. Ducktales, woohoo!

That is the beauty of unisex names.

I like your comparison of the runners (ducks) with skinner people running with their hands behind their backs; I enjoyed the mental image.

You know what? I named the Tot's new fish Mr. Jenkins.

The names are there purely for our ridiculous enjoyment, and hallelujah for that.

Ducks are so much more work than chickens, but I'll tell ya', I loved watching mine waddle around the backyard. They were so much fun to watch in action. Yuckie Duckies on parade.

Quacks me up!!! haha! The part about them being skinny runners with hands behind their backs was perfect, they do sort of look that way!

Such fun little creatures!

Oh, and your idea about our front entry design being made out of posts from trees from our land is an excellent idea. One we will take, for sure!

They look like a gang of ducks up to something no good and strutting their stuff. I had just decided that I didn't want to get geese this year. After looking at all your ducks and geese it's making me have second thoughts. :)
