I know it's springtime when...

The rubber boas come out of hibernation!

Aahhh! Glad I don't have those. (unless you mean rubber as in fake LOL)

Nope, they're real! :) They're extremely docile, though. They don't bite, and I've never even heard one hiss. They're my personal army of rodent assassins. :)

That looks like it's probably related to the black racer snakes we get here in the Ozark Plateau. Both are constrictors, I'm sure. That's a long one!

Eww!
I imagine on our retirement property, it's copperheads and king snakes...

Have a great week!

Well I'm glad they're not poisonous, but still...eesh!! We just have garter snakes around here. They are very shy, and slither away quickly whenever we come near, and I KNOW how beneficial they are for the garden. But every time I see the slithering out of the corner of my eye my heart does a double jump, as well as my feet, and it takes me a good minute to calm down again. I think I would need official resuscitation if I came across your rubber boa!

Oh my. That's not what I expected from your title. I have a fascination with snakes but am still startled by them. That one is beautiful. We haven't seen any snakes here yet.

That is just creepy to have around.

I'll just keep repeating to myself that they are good snakes, who do good things, and that not all snakes are bad.

I'm so glad those aren't around up here. Or at least glad that I don't realize or see that they are around up here.

*blech*
