Broody butts!

Left to right... Goldie (5 duck eggs), Bellina (5 turkey eggs), Smaug (2 chicken eggs so she'll stop trying to steal the other hen's nests), unnamed buff (4 turkey eggs).

Ha ha ha! Nice! I was thinking of you the other day with the broody hens and such as one of my dominique hens has turned broody.

It's the first time I've had a broody hen. It's quite unnerving, really!

And pathetic. At least your eggs will HATCH. Ours will just sit there until I prod her off the nest with a stick.

I like your interbreed nesting strategy, btw.
