S(he) is supposed to be a Welsummer. Provided that's true, I'm pretty sure it's a roo. I don't believe the hens are supposed to have pointy green tailfeathers. :)
I have a sick hen-but I've found a special place-whole big area in other barn for her-guess I'm not as kind hearted --but my man would probably put me out there if I tried to bring her in-he puts up with a lot from me--but........!!
What a pretty chicken. It looks blue. When we first got all our chickens two years ago I obsessed about whether we had a roo. I thought the tail feathers on one were a sure thing. We didn't wind up with a roo but it sure was fun obsessing about it and pondering it. Now my little chicks are starting to get little red wattles coming in I am back in the guessing game. This time I know about half of them are boys so I have 50% chance of being right. hehe

That's quite a tuft of tailfeathers.

I've always wanted Welsummers. Their eggs are so pretty.
Hope the chicken is doing okay, you sure are dedicated and I love this picture! They're still so cute, even when sulking and grumpy! ha ha!
