Somehow, comments are in two places, and I just never seem to find one set of comments.

When my favorite hen, Fancy, died, I was screaming and crying because we cared for her until the end, then I saw her death throes. It really hurts to lose a pet, even if she did give me eggs.Practical Parsimonyhttp://www.practical-parsimony.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9090907568893124937.post-80239027248281150912013-01-16T21:28:19.635-08:002013-01-16T21:28:19.635-08:00Oh Rae- I know she was your favorite- I'm so s...Oh Rae- I know she was your favorite- I'm so sorry.

I didn't see it happen but my money's on a raccoon.

Do we even have weasels? maybe it's just because I hate raccoons so much.

Could it have been a coyote?

Knowing what did it won't bring her back, but I'll feel better when you get the bastard, too.Paulahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16171802310115844104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9090907568893124937.post-25180508504283875792013-01-16T17:49:39.669-08:002013-01-16T17:49:39.669-08:00Thanks, folks.

Trouble is that I almost always blogged from my phone, and the new platform just doesn't cooperate.

Lindsey- working on processing it. LG got home before me and boxed her up so I didn't have to see her. He already had a hole dug, and buried her under the apple tree where the tastiest grass always grows (she LOVED under-the-apple-tree grass). I'll feel much better if we can catch the little $&@#%!. Putting a trap out tonight, baited with some tasty chicken liver. Wish me luck.

Michelle- Thanks, she was an African goose. Two years old, and her dewlap was really starting to grow out. She was about a year old in the above pic. Sorry about your losses. From what I've read today, and the nature of her injuries (more than just her head) we think a member of the weasel family is to blame.Raehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02769150016495656772noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9090907568893124937.post-44238334174238817622013-01-16T17:45:21.783-08:002013-01-16T17:45:21.783-08:00*hugs*

One of our sweetest girls, a naked neck named Beanie, died defending her foster babies from what we think was probably a fox or a raccoon. We were devastated. It always hard, but especially when they have such individual personalities and are so sweet!

What breed was she? She was a gorgeous girl.Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03667293599627184944noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9090907568893124937.post-85818819459082178632013-01-16T14:09:26.363-08:002013-01-16T14:09:26.363-08:00Oh, that is so awful. I was devastated.
Hope you process the grief well and we will look onward to happier times....Lindsey at NW Backyard Veggieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15317941200095723496noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9090907568893124937.post-53241607550998522602013-01-16T12:47:17.083-08:002013-01-16T12:47:17.083-08:00I'm sorry.
